Our commitment to you and our students is to make love the guiding principle in everything we do. We will work diligently to make our school a place where justice and love is provided to all.
Have a wonderful mid-winter break!
Katy French, Principal
Denise Waters, Assistant Principal
We plan to have an individual photo retake day Wednesday March 10th 2-3 pm. Please sign up for a timed appointment here for your in-person make up photo. More details will come as we get closer.
We understand not everyone is able to come in for a photo and we want to make sure everyone has a chance to be in the yearbook.
You can upload a photo by following the instructions on the flyer below. Don't forget to check out the helpful tips to taking a great yearbook photo.
We are also asking families to upload any fun candid photos that we can potentially include. Get creative and show us what remote learning looks like for you!
If you are in 5th grade, we have something fun planned and are also asking for a preschool, kindergarten, or first grade photo.
Questions email Shannon Upchurch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We can't wait to see your smiling faces!
Books on the Bus and an additional pick-up option on Wednesdays! No book pick up or delivery next week due to mid-winter break. Be sure to request books by next Wednesday for delivery and pick-up on the following week. For all the details, see here!
Be sure to visit the Frank Love Library webpage for helpful online resources including eBooks and audiobooks, databases, tutorials and more!

Having reliable connectivity to the internet is critical for your student’s success during distance learning. The state recognizes this need, and has partnered with Ziply Fiber and Comcast/Xfinity to create Washington’s K–12 Internet Access Program, which gives eligible families free internet access so your student can connect to online learning from home.
This internet access opportunity provides you with faster, stronger and more reliable connectivity than hotspots or tethering to mobile devices, which will better support your student. If eligible, families can sign up for the program by March 31, 2021 and the free internet access is available through June 30, 2021. When we shared details about this program in the fall, there was a requirement for eligibility that families did not have internet access prior to August 2020. This requirement has been removed, so all families who have a child eligible for free or reduced-price meals during the 2020-21 school year can access this opportunity. Learn more by visiting our website.
Technical Issues: If your student is having technical difficulties, please use this form to report.
For additional technical support you can call the district technology support at (425) 408-7669, check out our Frank Love Northshore Learns 3.0 website, or submit this form to get Frank Love level technology support!
Dear Frank Love Families,
Lunch Bunch: No lunch bunch during mid-winter break. When we return we will have a “sharing” week, when students can bring something to share about their break (or whatever they choose). All students are welcome to join us for some socializing and fun!
Next Week’s Schedule:
Monday 11:30-12:00 Kindergarten
Tuesday 11:30-12:00 First grade
Wednesdays 11:00-11:30 Second grade
Wednesdays 11:30-12:00 Third grade
Thursdays 11:30-12:00 Fourth grade
Fridays 11:30-12:00 Fifth grade
You can find more info and my Zoom link in my Schoology course.
We look forward to connecting with the students!
Cheetah Coalition: You may have seen your child watching the “Cheetah Coalition” which is a weekly video message from the principals and counselor. This month we have been focusing on friendship. My messages have included “qualities of a good friend” and steps to the important friendship skills of “starting a conversation” and “giving and receiving compliments”. Though we have not been able to see our classmates in person, students can still practice these friendship skills over zoom and at home.
Our school district is committed to connecting families with resources during times of need.

This week’s spotlight is on kindergartener Anay.
Anay’s teacher writes: Anay took the time to make valentine cards for all of his classmates. He drew a different fabulous picture on the front of each one. Many of his drawings were based on things he knows the recipient likes. I appreciate that Anay listens to and learns about his friends. Great job Anay!
