Conference Week - Early Release
Note from our School Counselor
Letter from the Principal
We are quickly working our way through November. Wednesday, November 9th we celebrated our community veterans by honoring them at a school wide assembly. Veterans shared their service history, students sang together “ Military Branch Medley” and “You’re a Grand Old Flag”, and shared pictures of family members who have served in the military or are currently serving. It continues to be a heart filling experience to have students and community members together in celebration.
Starting next week (Nov. 17, 18, 21, 22, 23) families will meet with classroom teachers for conferences. This will be a good opportunity to have conversations with your child about goal setting. A couple of questions to help your child start thinking about goals are: “What is something you do really well at school? What is something you want to improve?” The value of empowerment is a school wide focus for November and December. Goal setting is a main component of empowerment so talking about goals at home will reinforce messages being shared at school. A conference schedule also means that we will be having shorter days to allow for meeting times for teachers and families. You can find conference day schedules on our Frank Love School Calendar. Enjoy hearing about the gifts your child brings to school each day!
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Katy French and Sara Davis
